My wife and I found that we don't have enough money for everyone on our list. So to make ends meet and to make sure that everyone gets a gift, we've decided to recycle. My wife is going to make cookies for the remaining family members and friends that we were unable to buy for and I'm making baskets out of paper mache and recycled cereal boxes. Why would you just want to clutter up a landfill when a box can make a great work of art at so little a price. Paper mache is only water, flour, and some salt for preservation. Once you have the boxes that you want, have some newspapers or other materials that you desire and go to town. Once the baskets are completed the way that you want them, paint to the colors of christmas or the holiday of your desire. See in the end, you helped the planet out just a little bit by conserving space from boxes and newspaper. We don't always need to spend a fortune on those that we love to have a great gift. Best of all, the basket can be used for many other things that will last a lifetime. So this holiday season, do your part to recycle.
